Happy Belated Birthday :)

I was listening to Peter Attia on the Huberman show(Aug 15) and at the 1:32:53 mark Huberman says that stinging nettle can reduce SHGB and DHT. He stopped taking it because it dropped his DHT too much. I’m fuzzy on the details, but I think you shared something about you testing with Base and needing to up your testosterone? I could be totally off on that. Wondering your thoughts on nettle and hormones. Thank youuuu

Also, My husband and I are checking out the PNW in a few weeks to see if we might want to move there. Are there any medium sized towns close to big cities that you like/would recommend there? Looking forward to testing out the travel smoothie and hopefully upping my HRV with nature walks :)

Hi Rachelle,

Thoughts on carbonated beverages with "natural flavors" (Spindrift, La Croix etc) They taste quite chemically to me, but sometimes I want a "fun" drink that isn't alcohol and this is often what's available. My intuition say they aren't good for us, and I'm wonder if they are damaging to the gut? Thanks!

Hi there! I'm super curious about plant based diets and the mensural cycle.

I have explored strictly plant based eating in the past but found myself in a community of folks really educating on mensuration and the need for organ meets and a more "traditional" diet for folks with wombs especially. I'm not sure if you are mostly plant based, but would be fascinated by this insight.

I'm also very curious about fasting and mensuration also, as I've heard the benefits of fasting are predominantly known from research on the male body.

Thank you!

Also, I'm super interested in your thoughts on herbs /supplements to take regularly or semi regularly for general health and longevity! I've been particularly intrigued by quercetin, NAC, and berberine in my reading lately in the supplement world. With regard to herbs, functional mushrooms, turmeric, moringa and gynostemma top my current list. I know sleep/stress management/diet/movement are key to everything health & longevity related and I'm working on all of those too- just wondering what herbs and supplements you think might be of particular importance to add to those lifestyle pillars. Thanks- I know it's a huge topic!

Hi Rachelle.

I recently bought some Mucuna puriens in powder form on somewhat of a whim when I was purchasing some dried herbs for teas as I was curious after listening to you talk about it recently. The source I bought in from (here in Australia) appears to be a good quality organic herb supplier in my limited opinion. The package did not come with any dosing suggestions however! I was wondering what starting dose you'd recommend for someone starting out with the herb...1/4 teaspoon, 1 whole tsp etc? Also is it better to take am or pm? I understand that the purity/concentration of each batch probably differ from supplier to supplier but a rough recommendation from you would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I recently watched your herbs for sleep on Well and Good. Loved it as usual. You hit on what commonly happens to me during the night. I wake around 2-3 a.m. and have a hard time getting back to sleep. No problems getting to sleep at all. The periodic wake ups are the issue. I would love to have this covered in Office Hours with show notes. Thanks.

1. I recently tried this hops tea that I saw at the store and as someone that used to drink beer in the fast and gave it up to be gf and support an auto immune flair it was quite the experience. Now, I'm thinking about how I might use hops to make my own version. I'd love to hear your process of finding a monogram of an herb and how to read that to decide should I extract this in alcohol or make a tea. What's your thought process of choosing a method of processing it and even finding a monogram? Is there a place online that has monograms and will teach one how to read about the elements of an herb?

2. I also am the type of person that enjoys the occasional THC edible as it enhances my focus and helps my add brain stay on task in creative pursuits. I'm curious to explore making my own edibles with honey and glycerin and i'm not sure where to start to create a formulation.

Hi Rachelle, I've been suffering with restless leg syndrome for 4 years now and have experimented with numerous remedies only to find that prescription medication is my only relief. Unfortunately the prescription drugs worsens the condition and now I'm looking at herbal remedies to get off the drugs. What are your suggestions? I am considering Nerve Less. Thank you!
